Shake Shack Opens First Drive Thru

Randy Garutti, the former Union Square Hospitality Group Director of Operations, and current Shake Shack QSR announced on CNBC earlier today that they company had opened its first two drive thru locations in Minnesota and Missouri. The move was called by Garutti "a game changer" as they plan to open 10 more drive thru locations this year and called the Shake Shack customer a "truly an omni channel guest."  He continued "when we get people in our omni channel infrastructure   they generally tend to come more often, spend more, and are more dedicated to the brand."

The company participates on all online orderings platforms. but naturally prefers orders that come directly through the Shack App as it has gone through its digital revolution.

The company also reported an increase of 20.8% in same store sales year over year and increase of 2.2% from 2019 despite "hard staffing" challenges.
